An immersive, walk‑in study of additive colour mixing at architectural scale. Overlapping RGB light on ribbed polycarbonate turns simple structure into shifting atmospheres that change with your movement and attention.

Light.
Colour.
Space.

This installation invites you to explore the interplay of coloured light in a new way. Three light sources – red, green and blue – overlap to create vibrant mixtures.
What you see shifts with your perspective and movement.

At the heart of the installation lies additive colour mixing – a physical principle made visible and tangible through light in space.

But it’s about more than just optics:
You are invited to slow down,to pay attention, and to notice the beauty in the ordinary.

Because: perception is a matter of attention.

When you look closely, light becomes colour – and colour becomes experience.

Impulse

The starting point of this project was a long-standing fascination with light and colour. In everyday life, I notice small phenomena that often go unseen by others: how sunlight creates moving reflections on glass, how shadows can appear in unexpected hues, or how artificial light sources change the appearance of a surface. These are not rare events – they happen constantly around us – but they are rarely perceived consciously.

This repeated experience led to the desire to focus on the topic in a structured way. By analysing and experimenting with light and colour, I wanted to explore how these phenomena can be made visible and understandable for others. The aim was not only to study light and colour for myself, but also to create a project that could communicate this fascination, raise awareness, and even provide knowledge about how we perceive our surroundings.
